Located in Chicago, Michelle enjoys teaching weekly group yoga classes at Ganesha Yoga and Adventures in Fitness in the North Center neighborhood and Tula Yoga Studio in the Logan Square neighborhood.* As her schedule allows, she also enjoys teaching special event classes in the Chicago metro area. Her teachings, infused with creativity and playfulness, are rooted in hatha-style yoga. She typically incorporates classic hatha poses with mindful vinyasa flow (breath linked with movement) and gentle/restorative poses. Modified techniques and props may also be applied to help provide an accessible and fun practice for all. Please see her current teaching schedule for 2016 and further details posted below.

Ganesha Yoga and Adventures in Fitness, 2054 W. Irving Park Road, North Center Neighborhood of Chicago

  • Yoga Basics (P) Class, Ganesha Studio, Weekly on Thur. Evenings, 6:30 p.m. – 7:30 p.m. (60 Minutes) – For beginner and other students of all shapes and sizes seeking a foundational and more accessible practice, incorporating modified techniques and props. Poses are generally performed from various reclining, prone, seated, hands/forearms and knees, and standing positions with modifications and alternative pose options available. The “(P)” designation after the class name means the class is also prenatal-friendly with modifications offered for expectant mothers.

Tula Yoga Studio, 2827 W. Belden Ave., Logan Square Neighborhood of Chicago

  • Yoga Basics Class, Tula Studio, Weekly on Sat. Mornings, 9:30 a.m. – 10:45 a.m. (75 minutes) – For students of all shapes, sizes and conditions (including beginners, plus sizes, expectant mothers, seniors and individuals with physical injuries and limitations) seeking a foundational and more accessible practice, incorporating modified techniques and props in a welcoming, relaxed environment. Poses are generally performed from various reclining, prone, seated, hands/forearms and knees, and standing positions with modifications and alternative pose options available.
